Have ever wonder what a "Twitter" was? I did, until I started using the application. Twitter is sort of a like a Facebook page, but except when you update your status you have millions of others doing the same at the same time as you. For example, lets just say my brother and I have a twitter page. I decide to update my status with "going to the movies" and he decides to update his twitter page by saying "hanging out tonight." Both of our status will update with my twit first and then with his twit.
Twitter moves a 100 times faster than "Facebook," but along with facebook, it is one of the world's most popular social networking site. Many celebrities use twitter more than they use facebook, because twitter is much easier to post information. You may find a lot of words shorten on Twitter and that is, because you do not have a lot of space to work with, so you will have be a little savvy with words such as s/n, lol, s/o, etc..
